Laws, principles, traits and all the rest made for good memory work for Meritorious Promotion Boards. I just tried to keep it simple and stick with the 2 goals (1) accomplish the mission (2) welfare of the unit..... in that order. It's mission over men every time. Otherwise you have the healthiest unit in the bunch but aren't doing anything to contribute to the higher mission. It's a balance and sometimes gives an ineffective leader an excuse for losses. Frontal assault is not always the best COA but when it's the only one that will work it must be done and led from the front.
