This appears to be a valid story released today. Funny isn't it that they have the band width to go after a retired General and not enough to handle this fiasco. Politics, oh no.

I'll just point out that they are, in fact, "going after" this guy, which is why his access has been suspended. It is a bit ridiculous that he's filling the DNI slot and has no access, obviously his deputies are doing all the work, which begs the question, why does the position exist? His relief has been identified, nominated, and is pending Senate confirmation -- finally. He'll be able to go drive a desk somewhere outside Naval Intel and someone who can do the job can take over until or unless he's cleared (which I suspect is highly unlikely).

The question is, is it political or is it justified? Nothing concrete has been published that I have seen so far.

I can't believe I hadn't heard of this before now. This is perhaps my favorite absurd military and politics story of the past several months. Just, so great. 1LT (Join to see) Thanks for posting it.

“”long considered a rising star””, that is one way to be one step ahead of any investigation! 1LT (Join to see)
