The Air Force is asking retired pilots to come back for a year to fix its ongoing pilot shortage

A few months ago, I posted a story about Army Reserve and National Guard soldiers being asked to go to active duty and I had some active-duty Captain say disparaging things about Army Reserve civil Affairs officers and those officers defended me saying how they has situations where they were educating active- duty officers how to get things done. It was very frustrating because you could not convince this particular Captain. I hope this is not the case with the active-duty insulting Army Reserve and National Guard pilots who wish to come on board to make up for the 1500 pilot shortfall. We are on the same team and I sometimes think that Reserve component Personnel have other secondary skills that could really make things better for the active duty.
