After reading this, I'm definitely for further R&D in Project Thor. The concept for an orbital weapon system is indeed intriguing. Thoughts?

Sounds like a Dale Brown novel, in fact I think they were called Thor's Hammer....

I think we need to concentrate efforts on cleaning up the OSD field first, before we start breaking accords to put weapon platforms into orbit. Also, we'd probably want to look at the ability to turn these weapons outward for defense from space objects (read: giant hunks of rock hurtling at the Earth).
