I am a little hesitant to comment because I don't want my personal online information compromised in the event that any person reading my comment doesn't like what I say! LOL. My iPhone is already compromised. I thought the Althist stories provided factual information.
Couple comments:
A professor told me in 2003 that if I wanted to understand the war on terror that I should read about the wars on the Barbary Coast. interesting
I don't believe the current spat about border security and immigration is with Mexico or the Mexican people. This spat about border security and immigration is a fabricated narrative produced by political activists in the media.
According to the historic writings at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse "Seminole" means free people. Is it any wonder that Andrew Jackson and the Creeks experienced such ferocity from the Seminoles for an extended period of time? The lighthouse is the tallest in Florida and includes a very nice dedication to the Veterans of all United States military campaigns.

Very true, History lessons do leave out a lot of events but the problem is they should be remembered and often so they won't happen again in some of those cases. Some got overshadowed but some were just plain embarrassing and wrong ! Things being messed up isn't all that new. Some thing it seems they just wanted to forget some others would have been good to remember. I don't think forgetting History is a good idea even if the events were nothing to brag about or if they were that should also be remembered. History will repeat itself if allowed to do do because We just never learned what happened the last time !

The RallyPoint community used to prioritize helping each other. Sure, people wanted to trail-blaze but giving helpful information, even if they couldn't answer the question, was more important. It was uncommon to see so many threads cluttered with garbage - political propaganda, personal attacks, and life stories that don't directly align with the initial question or link. Now, many prefer to type "Thanks for sharing" for 100 influence points...

SGT (Join to see) - I often answer at 0200 to 0330 in the morning. I believe I have contributed to Rally Point's efforts and comment accordingly. I often come back to the posts where I made a short comment and expand the post after I've had time to review the post and what I think about it - deep thoughts wise.

14 Hours ago (time hack as of now) was 0-dark-30. and was right before I checked the area and my people. I just got relieved about 20 minutes ago and now have to get a backbrief from one on my team leaders. Such is life as I know it. Later.
