The Army is growing, so why are soldiers so afraid of being forced out?

It is hardly a competition. Meet a few basic standards... like being able to do your job and look at that then you get to keep it.

The article had very little to do with competition or standards needs to be re-titled. It had more to do with the secondary things that affect competition and standards like morale, mentality of younger soldiers, NCOs being asked to do more with less, senior leaders frustrations with having to get involved at a level they shouldn’t have to.
