The Army’s network cross-functional team, an entity stood up to help the service innovate faster, is using the Security Force Assistance Brigade, or SFAB, in Afghanistan as a test case for adapting commercial technologies to address some near-term capability gaps while it works out a longer-term equipping strategy.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel the US military has become too dependent on technology in my opinion. We haven't faced a peer or near peer force in a very long time, but when we do and suddenly realize that the OPFOR has the EW assets to negate all of our elaborate networks we are stuck lugging around a with a bunch of anchors and unable to communicate.

*Sigh* Networks.....a lot of corporate buzzword talk in that article that doesn't say very much. That's about par though when ever someone is describing a new network capability.
