I've heard the same problem of firing if dropped about the Glock, at least the early ones, and the generic "stoppages" is not explained in the article. Is it "stove-pipe", "failure to feed", or what?
I'm really puzzled by how a pistol malfunctions by "ejecting live ammunition". I never encountered that problem. Could it be a fracture of the magazine lips?
BTW -- I was hoping for S&W to get the contract, even though it looked like a set-up for the Sig entry. It would have been nice to have an American publicly-owned corporation in preference to a foreign partnership getting the profit.
