I think the sculpture would be OK accept the artist made the mistake of having Jesus be after the crucifixtion (note holes in the feet). Which opens a theological can of worms that really did not have to be opened with the piece.

Why would Jesus need a sheet or even a place to sleep after he ascended into Heaven?

Jesus was never homeless. He also had a day job when saving mankind had a slow period.

SFC Shirley Whitfield - Taken the passage out of context. Matthew 8:18-22 regards new followers who said, "“Teacher,* I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus tried to make a point that the journey will not be comfortable since he had no place to lay his head. Comment was not about being homeless, but being uncertain as to their future shelter.

SFC Shirley Whitfield - Roman Catholic tradition, and understanding of scripture and associated writings, does not assign an end date to Jesus' carpentry work.

“In his preaching, Jesus teaches that we should appreciate work. He himself, having ‘become like us in all things, devoted most of the years of his life on earth to manual work at the carpenter's bench’ in the workshop of Joseph.”  (The Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church #259)

Art and, "meanings are in the eye of the beholder"! This is one of them! Need to ask the artist
before he dies!
