After listening to just 3 installments of this narrative history of the Cold War, I feel safe in recommending it, highly in fact. It is comprehensive setting the stage for the Cold War firmly in the closing days of WWII.

Hey Jack,
I agree. I studied most of the historical aspects (some of my teachers said that World War Two didn't end until the Wall came down, others thought it was the final curtain of the First World War) so I was fairly familiar with most of the things in this excellent documentary.
I did serve over in Germany (70-71-72) and spent time in Berlin, and on the Czech Border. And luckily I got to go back after the Wall came down...and it was amazing that our train unloaded in EAST Berlin!
My wife kept asking me if I recognized anything. Nope. I know we are on Seventh Strauss where CheckPoint Charlie is...but it doesn't look familiar. Then I saw the Machine gun Towers and the Guard emplacements...but from the East German Side. Wow!
