Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs and thank you for this opportunity for all of us to celebrate being alive! If your first thought is ugh...another day, you're doing it wrong. I love Joe's morning prayer each day, I look forward to thinking back on what woke me and looking at it as a blessing regardless of what it was. It is all about your attitude. And EE Cummings said it, "unbeing dead, isn't being alive" What is it that makes you happy to be alive, to be here, to celebrate the life you were given? How can you make that part of your daily living exercise?
