Good morning Col Burroghs and Posse. I love the topic today.
Dogs are so much a part of who we are as humans. New research shows that they impacted human development as much as we did theirs. They help us in so many ways from leading us when we are unable to see, finding our lost ones, loving us when it seems no one else does, helping guard our property and doing rescue duty. But even if they did not of these service actions, their patience, loyalty and love would make them irreplaceable in our lives.

I lift those who train animals to aid the disabled and those who train animals to sooth the tormented including horse trainers to YOU LORD. YOU used a donkey to alert Balaam and YOU enable trained animals to help the blind at intersections. I pray that YOU protect these animals from being abused by thugs. 'With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless; with the purified you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous. For you save a humble people, but the haughty eyes you bring down.' [ Psalm 18:25-27 ESV]
I pray for compassion, kindness and endurance for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or hears it dear LORD. As Memorial Day is next Monday and many of us have memories of friends and fellow service members who have been killed in the line of duty.
I pray that YOU guide each of us to assist widows, widowers of service members, veterans and police, deputies and federal and state agents who have been killed in the line of duty. I pray that YOU guide each prayer warrior to intercede for the grieving and for peace this Memorial Day. 'Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.' [Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Thursday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Friday morning.
