COL Mikel J. Burroughs it is very interesting that for the majority of my life "getting back up" was the beginning and ending" theme of my life. Now, today, those repetitive lesson have brought me to this place, "stand and sway like an oak without breaking".: Getting back up means your skin is tough and you are still in the game.

I expect that after physically falling down a number of times over your lifetime you not only recovered but also helped others regain their footing. In all likelihood you have helped others from falling physically, emotionally and/or morally down. I expect you helped them to recover by your transparency and sharing your own experiences. No doubt you are grateful for your personal salvation and acceptance by the LORD. 'for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity’ [Proverbs 24:16 ESV] my sister-in-Christ PO3 Phyllis Maynard.

I lift each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it to YOU LORD. I pray for sufficient sense of balance, humility, and selfless love as well as fruit of the Spirit kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control for each of us. Deliver us from the vestiges of pride, dear LORD. 'Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.'[Proverbs 16:18-19 ESV]. Empower each of us to be a blessing to those we interact with and strengthen our resolve to be transparent in our faith in YOU. ‘‘Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.’ [Isaiah 40:28-31 ESV]
Thank YOU, LORD for creating the soul of each of us in YOUR perfect image. Since the fall of man & woman in the garden, the soul of mankind has been marred with sin. By YOUR grace YOU elected each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters before time began. In the fullness of time, YOU sovereignly regenerate the soul of each elect and our soul is reborn. By YOUR grace YOU lead us through our reborn life and motivate us to work on behalf of others. 'For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.’ Ephesians 2:10 ESV].
The LORD God is continually aware of the state of our heart/soul. By HIS grace and love, HE knows we need to confess our sins to HIM and seek HIS power to enable us to repent. HE forgave each of us completely at salvation as HE justifies our soul. Yet HE desires unhindered fellowship with each of us. Confession restores unhindered fellowship with the LORD. Confession is demonstration of humility, transparency and complete trust in the LORD. ‘But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.’ [2 Peter 3:8-9 ESV]
I expect that you are aware that if there is a barrier between the LORD and you or I, the fault lies with us since God always has an open line of communication with each of HIS adopted sons and daughters. I expect that you have no immoral or prejudiced barriers based on birth characteristics including gender, skin color, natural hair style, birth disability including autism or Downes syndrome; as well as family and societal characteristics including primary language, accent, education level, profession, skill, wealth or disabilities. ‘Therefore, let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.’ [Romans 14: 13 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Monday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Tuesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse and Happy Monday. Many people who are still in the workforce have today off so I hope if you do, you enjoy the day.
We have choices. Sometimes the choices we make result in a mistake, even a bad mistake but unless it was a fatal one we still have another choice, to get up and move forward. I have had seen people go AWOL, come back and make it right. I worked with someone who tried to complete suicide, was rescued and went on to get help and had a successful career. They choose to get up and move forward in spite of some pretty serious knockdowns. Most of us on here have been knocked down a time or two (or more); what counts is whether you choose to get up and move forward after that.
