I expect you have many great ideas and some noble ones as well. No doubt you have encouraged many to share their ideas and you offered to help them come to fruition, when appropriate. I pray that you and I have eyes to see and ears to hear and our vision is aligned with God’s plan for our life and the lives of those we are responsible for. ‘But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Too many encourage others to think outside-the-box as though in itself that is a noble and worthwhile activity.
a. Thinking outside the box within the physical sciences has indeed resulted in wonderful ideas from harnessing energy in electricity and nuclear plants, employing bio-chemistry to develop vaccines beginning with smallpox and expanding, radical improvements in surgery and recovery of patients, etc.
b. The insane think outside-the-box of reality much of the time.
c. Thinking outside the box in social sciences has led to some great ideas that line up with the bible including justice for all, freedom of speech, assembly, and the press.
d. Sadly, some outside the box approaches have led to dangerous results embraced by those who believe race determines intelligence, etc. Margaret Sanger in this nation and the Nazi’s in Germany went down the horrid path of exterminating on the basis of race and purported contribution to society.
It is wise to seek wisdom from the LORD. HE bounds our walk-through in life and HE blesses us with ideas to bring positive change for many. 'And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.' Romans 12:2-3 ESV
I lift widows, widowers, those afflicted with PTSD and seemingly incurable diseases as well as those who love and care for them to YOU. YOU are the healer. YOU healed each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters from judgement for sin as our salvation. YOU heal many through are own immune systems, many others through medical processes and procedures, and YOU sovereignly heal some for YOUR purposes. Glory to God in the highest. 'Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause' [Isaiah 1:16-17 ESV]
