Good Friday morning Col Burroughs and posse. Let's wear our RED shirts proudly today
My space is one of those topics. I think many people discovered that they needed more space than they had when we went to lockdown under the quarantine. If you were lucky enough to have someone with you during that time, you might have found that you were a bit more impatient with them or they with you; we often are not used to having someone in our personal space for so many hours a day. Most of us need our space, our quiet time to be able to think, to rebalance our emotions and when that's not available to us, we have problems. How can you find your "space" in any situation? Make sure you have a way or place to retreat when you need it.

I hope you are resilient and that you are able to perform well in most situations since you adapt easily in fluid circumstances. No doubt you care deeply for those you are responsible for as well as those who rely on you for advice. People tend to grow more reflective and compassionate or more bitter in response to changes thrust upon them. I pray that you and I are becoming more compassionate and kinder in response to the involuntary changes you have been forced to adapt to. 'Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.' [Philippians 4:8-9 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray for an increase of the fruit of the Holy Spirit patience and self-control for each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. LORD, I thank you for guiding each of us day-by-day and hour-by-hour. ‘The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.’ [Psalm 23:1-3 ESV]
I pray for a significant increase of support for the deployed service members, police, sheriff’s personnel, Federal and state agents around this nation. I pray that YOU bless each lawman and lawwomen as well as their family members. I pray that YOU guide the mind of each and their hands and feet of each service members and police/agent to lead them to their objectives and enable them to interdict, surveil, kill or capture as appropriate. 'I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.' [1 Corinthians 1:10 ESV]
I lift the grieving; the geriatrics, the forlorn; those in dire need of human companionship; each with significant pain and disabilities of YOUR adopted sons and daughters to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU pour out an extra measure of hope, love, and endurance for each one. I pray that you motivate great listeners to come alongside to spend time with those in need of human companionship in person or telephonically. ‘For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, but also what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what punishment! At every point you have proved yourselves innocent in the matter.’ [2 Corinthians 7:10-11 ESV]
I pray that YOU bless daughters and granddaughters who are the primary caregiver for widows, widowers and disabled people in an increase of compassion, gentleness, kindness and self-control. I am grateful that YOU honor these dedicated women through YOUR word. I expect YOU have designated ‘crowns’ for each of them. ‘Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity. Honor widows who are truly widows… If any believing woman has relatives who are widows, let her care for them. Let the church not be burdened, so that it may care for those who are truly widows. [1 Timothy 5:1-3, 16].
I pray that YOU convict and root out corrupt police, judges, district attorneys and local, state and national representatives in YOUR perfect timing. ‘Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. [Psalm 20:6-8 ESV]
LORD I lift the violent rioters, looters, and protestors and those who are consumed with passions to YOU. I pray that many of them will repent from their violent actions and words. I pray that YOU turn the hearts of elected leaders from supporting licentiousness to supporting law and the police. ‘God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.’ 2 Timothy 2:25b-6 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Friday night and will awake healthy on Saturday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good “R.E.D Friday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the cloudy and very windy Greater Boston area... which is warming up to the low to mid 60's today... I'll take it!
MY PERSONAL QUOTE:
"Sometimes we all just need to have a little space to get our act together." - Kerry F. Harkins - April 30, 2021
"Every life needs a little space. It leaves room for good things to enter it.” — Sarah Addison Allen
“Spouses in healthy relationships cherish each other’s space and are champions of each other’s causes.” — Henry Cloud
“The greatest gift you can give someone is the space to be his or herself, without the threat of you leaving.” - Unknown
“We all need to have a creative outlet – a window, a space – so we don’t lose track of ourselves.” — Norman Fischer
"Sometimes you just need to be alone, that’s okay. It doesn’t mean anything’s wrong with you, or even that anything’s wrong in your life. Sometimes you need to create the space to soul search, recover, think rest and just be. You don’t have to apologize for needing or taking this space, it’s part of what makes you a happy, healthy person.” - UNknown
And know that...
"When you own your space as a leader, others begin to see you not just as an expert, but also as someone who analyzes issues through a broader lens, exhibits leadership qualities and adapts leadership techniques to all of your responsibilities." — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
