Great poster for today's message LTC Ken Connolly I hope this message finds you in good health brother...

“Health is so important to our mental and emotional state of mind. And as we get older it becomes harder to maintain the cutting edge of health we had when we were younger, but there are things we can do to make sure we are fine tuning our health as we get older. Eating right, moderate exercise, enjoying family, having a positive mental attitude, and getting the right amount of sleep. ‘Health is a vehicle, not a destination.’ — Joshua Fields Millburn. May you find what works for you and your health; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Healthy habits make healthy leaders and individuals. Reach out to individuals and healthy leaders you admire and respect – bring new voices to the conversation of your health.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I pray that you and I will always be content and yet hopeful in whatever situation and circumstances we are in including our heath and the health of those we love. I expect you recognize that God is working all for good during these challenging times. Our character is solidified during tests and trials. ‘I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13I can do all things through him who strengthens me.’ [Philippians 4:11b-13 ESV] my brother-in-Christ LTC Ken Connolly.

Thank you, LORD for healing each adopted son and daughter of all our sins, past, present and future and fully justifying us for the death penalty for sin. YOUR atonement on the cross heals each of YOUR elect from all sin and the penalty for time and eternity. ‘But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. [Isaiah 53: 5-6 ESV]
I lift the mentally ill, the emotionally distraught, the manic, the severely depressed, those suffering from PTSD and TBI as well as each who loves them, cares for and treats them to YOU. I pray for the suicidal and homicidal tonight. Give them peace LORD and lead them away from this chosen path. ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.’ [Psalm 51:10-12 ESV]
I pray that YOU bless each individual who is on the front lines of medical teams, EMT personnel, police, firefighters, and emergency room team members with endurance to performing their tasks with minimal risk to themselves and others. I pray that their managers and leaders pay attention to the physical, emotional. and mental health of those they lead including their fellow leaders/managers.
I lift the health of the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Israel, Egypt, India, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand to YOU LORD. YOU know exactly who is interfering with the health of each nation – physical, mental, economic, and peaceful relations. I pray that YOU motivate each one who is focused on evil to repent from their wicked actions and goals. For each one who refuses I pray that YOU demote them from their perches of leadership. ‘He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. [Daniel 21-22 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.

Good Saturday morning Col Burroughs and Posse. Health is something we are all now quite aware of. Usually it is the "seniors" who think about this but now with the pandemic on the front pages on a daily basis the majority of us have it in our awareness. Health cannot be bought, but it can be wasted either through laziness, poor choices, etc. It is up to each of us to work to maintain our health (mental, physical and spiritual) to the best of our ability and to reach out for assistance in any or all of these when needed. It doesn't hurt to offer a helping hand to others as well if you can.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Excellent thoughts and quotes for the message of "health" today Charlie... You hit the nail right on the head with the fact that it's up to each of us to maintain our mental, physical and spiritual health... Have a great and healthy Saturday and future (both you and Tom)...

'Health Day" seems very appropriate .
1. Physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health are each important.
2. I am in fair physical health, fair mental health, and robust spiritual health

Good Saturday, January 30, 2021 morning my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs

Quotes I appreciate
1. Roger Babson 'Property may be destroyed and money may lose its purchasing power; but, character, health, knowledge and good judgement will always be in demand under all conditions.'
2. Gilbert K. Chesterton 'Man does not live by soap alone; and hygiene, or even health, is not much good unless you can take a healthy view of it or, better still, feel a healthy indifference to it.'
3. Leo Tolstoy 'Only people who are capable of loving strongly can also suffer great sorrow, but this same necessity of loving serves to counteract their grief and heals them.'
4. Olivia Wilde 'I think its healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person'
5. Glenn Close 'What mental health needs is more sunlight more candor more unashamed conversation.'
6. Laurell K. Hamilton 'There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.'
7. Michael Connelly 'You can't patch a wounded soul with a Band-Aid.'
8. William Shakespeare 'How poor are they that have not patience! What wound did ever heal but by degrees'

Scriptures:
a. 3 John 1:2-4 ESV 'Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified
b. 1 Peter 2_24 'He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
c. Hebrews 12 12-14 ESV 'Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.'
