If there was a year we needed a "new beginning" this one probably ranks in most people's top 10. Happy New Year everyone! The first R.E.D. Friday of 2021
Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. Love the topic for the Saturday group too.
All we should bring forward with us into this new year are the positives: we survived, we learned, we still love, we care for each other, we offer support and anything else good that we have. Let's leave behind the hatred, the fear and the evil that has been such a large part of 2020. Take this new year as a time to try out new skills, be reenergized, and step up in new ways. What can you do personally to make 2021 a better and more positive year, for yourself, your organization and/or your family?

I pray for the immature in faith as well as the mature that the LORD will bless us with wisdom, eyes to see and ears to hear so as to be able to recognize the schemes of the worldly charlatans who mimic friendship and avoid being lured into any pits. 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.' [Romans 12:2 ESV]
I pray for parents of young children as they make decisions on how best to educate them and protect them. LORD I pray that YOU renew the minds of parents to give them confidence that YOU entrust them to raise their children. ‘Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ [Proverbs 22:6 ESV]
I lift the US Senators and US House Represnetives to YOU. I pray that YOU guide the wise and the able to come to agreement on how best to execute their legislative responsibilities. ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.' [Proverbs 9:10-11 ESV]
I pray that YOU cause the Squad and their radical allies to be confused and angry with each other and reduce their effectiveness. ‘The fool says in his heart, “There is no God. They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good. together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. [Psalm 53:1; 3b ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Friday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Saturday morning.
