"The very act of believing creates strength of its own." ― Unknown Author

To go with yesterday- if we could only instill this belief in our children. The Greatest Generation had this belief- where did we lose it? Great Tuesday starter Col

unfortunately we have allowed our children's peers to have greater influence on them than us. But we must continue to educate them as long as we can.

I pray that you place your trust in the Gospel truth and that the light and love of God will radiate from you to those you love, my friend and brother-in-Christ Maj Marty Hogan.
Heavenly Father, YOU designed each of us to believe. YOU ordained the family and the love of parents for their children. YOU instill a trust in children for adults which lasts until it is violated. YOU allow good, bad and ugly in each of our lives and ensure it blesses us and others in YOUR perfect timing. YOU ordain forgiveness and repentance and enable faith in family and friends to be restored.
Give each of us discernment, wisdom, eyes to see and ears to hear the TRUTH and reject falsehood on its face. Enable each of us to gracefully educate those we love first by our actions and secondarily by our words.
I pray that each and every adopted son and daughter of YOURs who was abused as a child or later will, be delivered from bitterness, self-loathing and clinical depression. I pray LORD that YOU cut off cycles of abuse in this generation. Ensure those who were abused are purged of the tendency to abuse and each will selflessly love their family members.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

I have to think the heroes that went before us charged the enemy believing somehow they would make it against all odds. How could you act otherwise? That's why I truly believe there are no atheists in foxholes.

Belief is about more than religion, much more. Without the courage to take the leap, even scientists and atheists would be left behind standing on the edge, stymied by challenges. Those of us who go/have gone in harm's way, should know this better than anyone.

“I believe in the power of the human heart—in its capacity for truth and justice, love and forgiveness.” — Parker Palmer
and one more...
“We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” — ee cummings

Thank you COL Mikel J. Burroughs for this nice reminder and focus. Good Tuesday RP Friends.
