I can not remember an embrace from my mother or father, but I always longed for it. In spite of that, I’ve always tried to remember God’s Commandment to Honor our parents. It must be an extremely important Commandment because it is the only one God gave with a promise. Today I have taken a few Christian quotes about Mothers from whatchristianswanttoknow.com entitled “21Great Christian Quotes about Mother’s.” Be Blessed my RP Family, on this Mother’s Day.
21 Great Christian Quotes About Mothers
by PAMELA ROSE WILLIAMS ·
Featured Quote ” When Eve was brought unto Adam, he became filled with the Holy Spirit, and gave her the most sanctified, the most glorious of appellations. He called her Eve, that is to say, the Mother of All. He did not style her wife, but simply mother, mother of all living creatures. In this consists the glory and the most precious ornament of woman.” ~ Martin Luther

Only God Himself fully appreciates the influence of a Christian mother in the molding of character in her children. ~ Billy Graham
What a mother sings to the cradle goes all the way down to the coffin. ~ Henry Ward Beecher
Ladies, [motherhood] is a full-time job. Do not kid yourself that you can be a dental receptionist and a mother; that you can be a typist and a mom; that you can be a Vice President and a mom. One of the two things will win. Now look at your Bible and ask what you have to do. ~ Alistair Begg
I don’t believe there are devils enough in hell to pull a boy out of the arms of a godly mother. ~ Billy Sunday
To be a mother is by no means second class. Men may have the authority in the home, but the women have the influence. The mother, more than the father, is the one who molds and shapes those little lives from day one. ~ John MacArthur
The impression that a praying mother leaves upon her children is life-long. Perhaps when you are dead and gone your prayer will be answered. ~~ D.L. Moody

And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. ~ Genesis 17:15-16
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. ~ Exodus 20:12
Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. ~ Ezekiel 16:14
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. ~Proverbs 29:15
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:27-30)
Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. (John 19:25-27)

Good Morning COL. Another early day I see....! "Mothers Day" Stevie came down to Roses this morning, Cam and Melissa are taking Stevie out for lunch and I get to tag along....Designated Dad !
All the quotes are great this morning ....I guess if I had to pick one it would be the pictured quote:
"God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers." — Rudyard Kipling
That is something my Mother would have said to me and may very well have, followed by ...."Now eat your vegetables" ....!
Have a great Mothers day with your Mom and Bella, I'm taking it easy....
I may have been a bit overzealous yesterday, I have been up since 0300. with some shoulder discomfort and foot cramps.....

I pray that you and I demonstrate love and respect to each human being we interact with, my friend and brother-in-Christ Alan K..
LORD YOU are in complete control of all creation. YOU told Adam and Eve that they should not be ashamed while being naked in the presence of their spouse [Gen 2:25 paraphrase]. I am thankful that YOU created sex for both reproduction and pleasure.
I am thankful for the gift of the fruit of the womb whom we call sons and daughters.
LORD, I lift up each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters to YOU. I pray that each husband demonstrates love to his wife and that each wife demonstrates respect for her husband. I pray that parents demonstrate agape and affectionate love and respect in the presence of their children.
I pray that children honor their mother and father that they may live long lives. Honoring does not require forgiveness for past abuses physical or emotional. I pray dear God that YOU enable abused YOUR adopted sons and daughters of any age to forgive and reconcile with living parents. If the abuser is dead, I pray for peace for the abused and increasing joy as they lift up these burdens to you.
LORD on this Mother’s Day, I pray for reconciliation between children and their parent or parents. Give grace and peace to each person who reconciles and restore love.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Morning Col. and I am still waiting for my wife to wake up to Mother's day. I also hope our son remembers this day and calls her, because I don't think there is any relationship closer than a Mother to her son! Mothers are the Apple Pie of all sweets!

Call your son (no text message) and tell him in your best military/father voice to get his butt over to your house. His mother is expecting him. I bet he will respond, "yes sir". :)

LTC Ken Connolly - I would except he lives in Brooklyn, and we are in Vermont. But I might do it anyway for the fun of it. My wife told he called while I was out working in the yard.
