Good post this morning. Success and happiness are about DOING, not just waiting for them to arrive on your doorstep like a UPS package. Too many people are unwilling to work for what they want. They see things on TV or in the movies and feel it should be easy. It isn't but it is worthwhile. What can you do to make your journey to success and happiness succeed? How do you keep yourself traveling that path?

Lt Col Charlie Brown we started UGMI accounts for the boys after they were born. It was essentially forcollege. When they both graduated high school in Georgia, I made them a deal. If you maintain the HOPE scholarship, i will cover the rest of the expenses, lose the HOPE, I start using your UGMI. #2 son lost it for a year, and I did what I said I would. He earned it back after his sophomore year, he never lost it again.
If the boys wanted their vehicles to move during summer and Christmas breaks, they needed to have jobs. It worked out well. #2 son was working with a construction company he worked with in the summer over the Christmas break. He got a honey baked ham as a bonus and bragged he provided for Chistmas dinner.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - COL Mikel J. Burroughs LTC Stephen F. Maj Robert Thornton You are all great examples of how to make commitments and sacrifices that produce happiness. Not every moment of course is happy either, but every moment counts. Charlie, we have our kids share in paying for things too, like their schooling. I am convinced it is helping them in the long run.
