We probably broke the mold; the storm broke the roof and the ceiling. Seriously good Wednesday morning Col Burroughs and fellow posse members. I thought we had made it through Isiasis unscathed but apparently not. We will deal with this as we always do as long as no one is hurt, things are reparable.
Breaking the mold is an interesting concept. The people who move us forward are those who are "one of a kind" "unique" "broke the mold" kind of people. Einstein, Bell, Edison, Ford, I could name inventors all day. Then there are the unique leaders who have come forth at moments of great need and they too are not like others. We don't solve new problems with old thinking.
When you look at yourself and you see your uniqueness understand that it is not a failing but a gift to be different and one of a kind. That doesn't mean you don't continue to evolve and grow, just that your path might be a bit different that someone else's.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Great thoughts about the inventors and great leaders that were one of kind and at the right time in our history as well Charlie. Are we making another great leader of our times that will be judge by many in the many years to comes, only time will tell. Then we have the one of kind losers of the world and we thank God when their gone. We have a whole capital of those right now don't we? Maybe a few good apples in the rotten bunch. Anyway, have a great afternoon and evening. I hope the repairs aren't too much Charlie.
“May you always be aware that you’re unique, an individual, and there is no one out there in the world that comes from the same mold you did; may you have the best attitude and outlook on life, your own special and unique perspective on life; may you always take the best care of yourself; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Remember, your mold was broken after you came to be – your unique and one of a kind!” – COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Great thoughts, Charlie. Funny thing when you show that you are capable and willing to think outside the box. You scare the Hell out of people who are slow to innovate and look at things differently.

Good Wednesday morning "Burroughs' Posse Leader...from a now Beautiful day in the Greater Boston Area...after a violent tropical storm went through yesterday! I am w/o Power, & my cell is low on battery, so I am offline until power is restored... I will complete my response as soon as I can... Hoping you have a great day, Mikel...
I just got my power back a little after 2 PM and I'm raring to go... I didn't realize how much my life revolves around my computer and the internet... I felt like a fish out of water since 5PM yesterday... LOL!
“Broke the Mold Day!” Why Not? I am taking a slightly different approach to this since my mold was broken by the recent Tropical Storm that ravaged the East Coast... LOL! Just as I was about to finish my respsonse the power grid let go again... back on at 4:57PM... I am rushing now to finish! LOL!
I also wish to thank all of my Brothers and Sisters who understood my plight and gave me a vote!
1) "It ain't easy to break out of a mold, but if you do your work, people will ultimately see what you're capable of. Too often, people find it easier to make assumptions and stick with what they believe. They put you in a place and it makes their job easier. The good people constantly search for something different." - Christopher Meloni
2) "God does not waste an ounce of our pain or a drop of our tears; suffering doesn't come our way for no reason, and He seems especially efficient at using what we endure to mold our character. If we are malleable, He takes our bumps and bruises and shapes them into something beautiful." - Frank Peretti
3) "The poet gives us his essence, but prose takes the mould of the body and mind entire." - Virginia Woolf
4) "Make your mold. The best flux in the world will not make a usable shape unless you have a mold to pour it in." - Robert Collier
5) "The real distinction is between those who adapt their purposes to reality and those who seek to mold reality in the light of their purposes." - Henry A. Kissinger
and my last one, but certainly not least of them:
6) "There are many well-meaning people today who work at placing an economic floor beneath all of us so that no one shall exist below a certain level or standard of living, and certainly we don't quarrel with this. But look more closely and you may find that all too often these well-meaning people are building a ceiling above which no one shall be permitted to climb and between the two are pressing us all into conformity, into a mold of standardized mediocrity." - Ronald Reagan
and on a slightly more fun aspect...
“I can certainly relate to the mold being broken when I came into the world, how about you?” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

MSG Felipe De Leon Brown - I am keeping my fingers crossed! LOL! I have had my share of serious Hurricane's since I live in Massachusetts, not far from Cape Cod! Your scenario, however, was a crucial one, my friend...

i kind of sounds like tree problems, The lineman get 1 peace going then another tree goes through. Wind , trees not a good combination for a power grid

Good Morning COL Mikel Burroughs & ‘Posse’!
I know ‘they broke the mold’ the day I was born! I am the shortest (5’2”) in my family and the only one with red curly hair and freckles! I have become accustomed to being ‘unique’, an exception to policy, and a ‘waiver’ for policy! lol
Am in Durham for VA appointment...hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day!
