Plant seeds day.
Seeds of the Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control make the most sense to me.
Good Thursday, August 27, 2020 morning my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs

Quotes I appreciate
1. Robert Louis Stevenson 'Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant.'
2. William Wordsworth 'Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. The harvest can either be flowers or weeds.'
3. Ann Voskamp 'Gratitude for the seemingly insignificant — a seed — this plants the giant miracle.'
4. Michael Portillo 'You never quite know what you do in life that leaves a seed behind that grows into an oak tree.
5. John Ciardi 'A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of idea.'
6. Mary Davis 'We can’t change people, but we can plant seeds that may one day bloom in them.'
7. Leo Buscaglia 'The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another’s, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises.'
Scriptures
a. Galatians 5:22-24 ESV 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
b. Mark 4:30-31 ESV "And he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”
c. 2 Corinthians 9:10-15 'He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

LTC Stephen F. - thanks for the great quotes this morning Stephen. I hope you can get back on RallyPoint soon my friend. Keep this in mind when you return Stephen:
"May we be the planter of seeds that will change this world and the issues we face today, plane those seeds with hope and encouragement for the people to turn in the right direction and away from violence; may you always plant seeds for yourself that are positive and grow into inspiration for your future; may you always keep yourself healthy; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Plant those seeds now and reap the harvest in the future." - COL (Rep ) Mikel Burroughs

Good Thursday morning Col Burroughs. Today is day 2 of my time on the National Call team. I expect to get a number of calls for storm assistance/shelter on shift later today
Planting seeds, the only way to grow a harvest, but remember you reap what you sow...if you plant seeds of caring and love, that's what you harvest. If you plant seeds of hate and discord, that is what you will find is your crop. We can all choose what we wish to plant regardless of what those around us have decided to do. Go where the ground is fertile for your crop (message) and you will find a much better harvest. Don't forget to nurture the plants along...they need attention to grow.
