Good morning Col Burroughs. Love the topic. You are a professional at this skill. And doing good is a skill; one that we can all practice and get proficient with. Some good deeds should be done publicly while others should be done quietly and without fanfare. It doesn't matter how large your audience is though; it is enough that someone needs and you are able. I consider it an honor when I am in this position and able to help.
I've sent clients out to "do good deeds" starting with people they don't know...out to find opportunities to render assistance. It makes a difference in the lives of both givers and receivers.

I expect that your good intentions to help others are generally accepted in the spirit you intended. Hopefully you and I have learned to help others that we had been repelled by – appearance, smell, actions and/or speech as the LORD reminds us of the parable of the Good Samaritan, 'The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered,' my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray that parents and extended family members are encouraging the young family members to do good behaviorally, in school work, and being helpful to those in need. I pray that local governments and school systems are becoming increasingly supportive of these efforts.
LORD thank you for sanctifying the soul of each one of YOUR adopted children. By YOUR mercy and grace, YOU are making us to be more inherently good from the soul outward. 'And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.' [Philippians 1:6]
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters are becoming more helpful in their neighborhoods throughout the USA, UK, Europe, Africa, India, Canada, Mexico, South and Central America, South Korea, Australia, the Philippines and New Zealand. I pray LORD that widows, widowers, orphans, prisoners, disabled people including military and police veterans are being well taken care of by family, friends, and strangers that YOU motivate to help materially. ‘Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.' [James 1:27 ESV]
LORD I lift the state election processes, oversight, and those who make judgements on process and results to YOU. I pray that those who have honest and good intensions to arrive at accurate process and results will triumph in each state. I am thankful that Florida has succeeded in turning their state and county election process from abysmal to a model of bipartisan cooperation. I pray that states who radically changed their voting process will consult with Florida to improve their processes and eliminate corruption from any source. 'Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.' [Isaiah 1:17 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Outstanding message for Saturday's quotes Charlie and I love all the additional quotes you posted...

“Doing good things for other is so awesome, especially when we’re doing them for the right reasons and without any care for reciprocation for the kindness and support, we give for others. This is very important in our veteran network here on RallyPoint, in our communities and the nonprofits we serve and support. May you always be the one doing great things for others now and in the future. May you always have that “can do” attitude in doing good things for others; may you always have a clear mind, physically fit body, and pure soul to accomplish that mission of doing good; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy during these uncertain times. ‘Let us not be weary in doing good for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.’ — Galatians 6:9” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good morning all! What an inspirational topic! Most of the quotes are from the founders of religions, philosophies, and nations! I'll add another ancient quote.

“As the sun does not wait for prayers and incantations to be induced to rise, but immediately shines and is saluted by all, so do you also not wait for clappings of hands and shouts of praise to be induced to do good, but be a doer of good voluntarily and you will be beloved as much as the sun.”

Good “Saturday” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from a gorgeous day here in the Boston Area!!! We are enjoying a temperature of 54° headed up to about 70° with 69% humidity and winds W 4 mph... I hope you are enjoying some good weather there in Texas my friend...

“Doing Good Day!” Why Not?

1) "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." - Francis of Assisi

2) "Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." - William James

3) "When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion." - Abraham Lincoln

4) "The greatest honor of a man is in doing good to his fellow men, not in destroying them." - Thomas Jefferson

5) "I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn

We all know the Colonel's drive and ambition in life and he states:

“I’m proud and feel really honored to be doing good today to raise awareness, education, and money to help reduce veteran suicides through the VFVRIDE 2020 “Warriors for Life” 3rd Annual Poker Run here in Texas.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

The weather was great for 5 days straight until we rode into Castel Rock, CO wet, 26 degrees, and the snow was coming down lightly Sgt (Join to see) - thanks for the great quotes Saturday and the VFVRIDE was a huge success in Texas...
