Good morning Col Burroughs. Every day brings some piece of good news; you just have to be tuned in to hear it. We get so focused on bad news that sometimes the good news goes by unremarked. Don't let that happen to you. Make it a point to find it; to share it; to document it.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - The quote and the mian MEME you shared this morning Charlie is good news and your thoughts bring out the pisitive aspect of finding that good news. It may be a needle in the haystack, but there is some good news to share...Have a great day and share the good news about everything you accomplish today Charlie...
“It has always been said that ‘Bad News’ travels faster than ‘Good News!’ Let’s change that narrative today and let’s spread some good news. Everyone has some good news to report, so share it with the group today, even if it was just waking up today; may you do some really great deeds today, create good will, and open you mind and heart to some really good news. Especially here at we come into the last month of 2020, we all need good news; may you be positive today and have an attitude that reflects the possibility of good news for all; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Share some good news and stories that will change our morale today.” What’s your good news? — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I hope that you have received good news than bad news over your lifetime. I expect that you are aware that the best of all possible news is the Good News of the Gospel. I hope you and I deeply appreciate the cost of salvation - the shed blood of the Christ. No doubt you are aware of your own personal cost which you are ‘paying’ for trusting the atonement of the Christ. God prunes our desires and hones our character trough testing and challenges. ‘For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him.’ [Philippians 3:8b ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray that each one of us who are YOUR adopted sons and daughters are demonstrating the love of God to those we interact with and that we are prepared to give the reason for our hope in YOU. ‘This will be your opportunity to bear witness. Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.’ [Luke 21:13-15 ESV]
I pray that you and I demonstrate respect for each person we interact with. I pray that the LORD blesses each of us with an increase of kindness and compassion whenever we are in situations where we need to deliver bad news to unsuspecting people. Give YOUR people wisdom. Eyes to see and ears to hear and make us so familiar with the truth that we can readily spot lies and deception. 'For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.' [Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV]
I pray that Christian pastors and teachers demonstrate the gospel to their families first, to the congregation secondarily, and to others. I pray that YOU deliver the congregations from false preachers and teachers. ‘But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.’ [1 Peter 3:14-16 ESV]
I lift each Casualty Notification Officer, Casualty Assistance Officer, police officers assigned as death notification officers and each other person who takes the responsibility of notifying others about the death of a loved one to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU bless each one with appropriate knowledge, peace, compassion and sense of duty as they prepare for their duties and execute them. I pray that each one is trustworthy and that nobody takes advantage of the situation. 'Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.' [James 1:2-4 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Tuesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Wednesday morning.

COL Mikel Burroughs good read/share: for the Colonel's Motivational Quotes of the Day. Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty ROCKY MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THIER EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICIENT on this day December 1, 2020 as you might glance upon the mighty snow capped mountains headed into the New Year 2020. As you know I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contracting Management Agency. It is good to have some time on my break to respond my friend.
