I hope that you have received good news than bad news over your lifetime. I expect that you are aware that the best of all possible news is the Good News of the Gospel. I hope you and I deeply appreciate the cost of salvation - the shed blood of the Christ. No doubt you are aware of your own personal cost which you are ‘paying’ for trusting the atonement of the Christ. God prunes our desires and hones our character trough testing and challenges. ‘For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him.’ [Philippians 3:8b ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray that each one of us who are YOUR adopted sons and daughters are demonstrating the love of God to those we interact with and that we are prepared to give the reason for our hope in YOU. ‘This will be your opportunity to bear witness. Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.’ [Luke 21:13-15 ESV]

I pray that YOU deliver the congregations from false preachers and teachers. ‘But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.’ [1 Peter 3:14-16 ESV]
