COL Mikel Burroughs good read/share: for the Colonel's Motivational Quotes of the Day. Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THEIR EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICENT on this day December 13, 2020 as you might glance upon the mighty snow capped mountains headed into the New Year 2021. As you know I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contracting Management Agency. It is good to have some time on the weekend before I start my running around to respond my friend.

Today's theme is “Putting Things Off Day!” I quote, “Stop putting things off that you need to get done. Take action and you’ll thank yourself later.” — Unknown Author

Great quote fo today SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL Thank you my friend...

“Putting things off today for tomorrow is a recipe for disaster, because tomorrow there is always something more important that needs to be done and then you start stacking up projects or papers on desk that just get lost or covered with other stuff. Check your list once, check it twice, then start getting things done today. May you never get caught up in putting important things off until tomorrow that you can get done right now; may you always have positive attitude and the self-motivation to get things done today that need to be done; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy during these uncertain times. Exchange, tomorrow, someday, later, next week, and next year, for NOW!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

COL Jim Ainslie - Jim, you are right, it all depends on the situation, this certainly does not apply in the war zone where planning, patience and determination is a must. It takes days, weeks and months to complete a combat mission, and the outcome is always unknown.

What is procrastination, and why do we let it happen? Procrastination can ruin our lives, and we provide you with strategies to overcome this bad habit.

In this episode of Ratalyst, we start by defining what exactly procrastination is and highlight some of the negative effects that can result in our lives. Procrastinating can have devastating effects in both our personal lives and careers, and can become a really destructive habit for many people. By applying some of the strategies we present in this video, you can start working towards breaking the cycle and be able to identify when and why you're procrastinating. We have all struggled with procrastination from time to time, but if it has become a problem for you, understanding these methods can be a great starting point to making a positive change in your life!

I expect your priority in life is worthy of emulation. I hope that you recognize that patient endurance is next to godliness and that God is immensely patient with you and me as HE sanctifies our individual soul. God’s timing and order is perfect. Unlike us, HE is perfect in patience, timing, mercy and justice. ‘I … urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. [Ephesians 4:1-3 ESV] my brother-in-Christ SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.

I pray dear LORD that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer has our spiritual house in order and that we are not judgmental against our brothers and sister-in-Christ. I pray that we each submit our daily plans to YOU as well as longer range plans. I pray for patient endurance for us as we wait upon YOUR answer. ‘Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.’ [Isaiah 40:30-31 ESV]
I pray for wisdom to reign among the elected leaders and elected members of the state legislatures as they weigh the issues before them in terms of legislative priority and funding allocation and electoral college decisions.
I pray for wisdom for parents weighing decisions on schooling for their children for next year. I pray that YOU bless them with eyes to see and ears to hear to make wise decisions on keeping children in public, private schools or homeschooling else changing how their children will be educated. I pray they have age-appropriate discussions with their school age children to get their input. I pray that families are being brought closer together in these challenging times.
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Sunday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Monday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Sunday morning Burroughs' Posse Leader from the Greater Boston Area... Hope you have a great day, Brother... More upcoming...

Back...

It seems "the faster I go the 'behinder' I get". I go to bed earlier and get up later... That is what the winter does to me folks... Age must play a factor... LOL!

“Putting Things Off Day!” Why Not?

1) "One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living." - Dale Carnegie

2) "Waiting is a trap. There will always be reasons to wait. The truth is, there are only two things in life, reasons and results, and reasons simply don't count." --Robert Anthony

3) "Know the true value of time! Snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today." --Lord Chesterfield Stanhope

4) "The habit of always putting off an experience until you can afford it, or until the time is right, or until you know how to do it is one of the greatest burglars of joy. Be deliberate, but once you've made up your mind--jump in." --Charles R. Swindoll

5) "Neither a wise nor a brave man lies down on the tracks of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him." --Dwight D. Eisenhower

So, what is the message? Yep! You are right, and you know...

“Great leaders stop putting things off and start getting things done!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
