Good morning Col Burroughs. Interesting topic. I get lots of questions from clients about how to respond to comments they consider hurtful or questions they feel are inappropriate. Silence is also a response; no one requires that you answer something you don't want to. When we respond (or even more importantly: react) we give over our control to someone else. Don't do that. When you decide to respond (or to respond with silence) do it because you are in control. The choice is yours

It has taken me may years to realize this. So many times when I should have walked away, I had to express an opinion. I am more easily contained now a days. Often I stand/ sit and listen. If I can actually garner something beneficial or positive I take it in, Otherwise I may excuse myself or just walk away if possible.

Sometimes it is so difficult to convince your boss that doing nothing is a good course of action. Great topic

Good Morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs . Silence your words when you are angry but do not remain silent when you are in the presence of an injustice. Silence at the wrong time is taken for approval...
Ecclesiastes 3:7-8 a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace.
Have a Blessed day

You're very welcome ths fine "Sunday" Morning SrA Ronald Moore - here is my final thought on the topic Ronald...
“Responses can be negative or positive and today, we’re looking for the positive – why not? Negative thinking can hinder all of us from making positive responses, so let’s be upbeat and keep those responses coming in with a positive message for everyone this holiday season. If you are angry or don’t agree with something, then the “no Response” can be a powerful message. It’s always great to be humble in heart and wise in response. May you find it to your advantage to respond in an uplifting and positive manner when communicating verbally and in writing; may you always display in your communications a positive attitude for all to emulate; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy during these uncertain times. Let’s follow this motto today and in the future for the benefit of all ‘My response is my responsibility’. Have a great day!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
