Stay grounded, RallyPoint, to avoid unpleasant shocks.

And have a great day.

SPC Michael Terrell - I do hope you got that resolved. That is terrible customer service. And it doesn't do much for their credibility, either.

I've tried to close the account. I was told that I could only call from that line to do it. Their local 'store' only offered me cell phone service, rather than help. It s now closed. They turned it over to a collection agency. I provided he information, and was told it would be resolved. Then it was turned over to another collection agency. 'Later, Rinse, Repeat' for years. It makes me wish that I still had my old Stepvan. I would rip out the cable to the end of the street where the missing pedestal was located. Everyone else on this short street had to go to cell phones. There were only 11 homes on it and several were winter homes for Snowbirds. There were five houses on the underground line that wasn't repaired. They are building fiber optic internet in the area, and hopefully that crap will all be removed anyway.

SPC Michael Terrell - I wonder if your Attorney General has a consumer division like ours does. I think it might be time to file a complaint. What a mess.

I have before and after photos of the location where the pedestal was. I have worked in Electronics and Communications, since the mid '60 and have watched telephone service quality drop as merger after merger has turned small companies into corporations that are too big to survive their own stupidity. The companies were built by engineers and investors. The large corporations are run by MBAs why know noting about the industry they are working in, that month. (MBA = I can destroy any business, while stealing millions.)

Good “Wednesday & Hump Day” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the high and light overcast skies of Greater Boston... Our Year 2020 is now rapidly winding down and I, for one, will be glad to see it go into the history books!

MY PERSONAL QUOTE:
As I look around at the majority of people in the world today, I do not see the same types of Grounded People that I once saw and respected. Quite the opposite. I see people who are tethered on a string, having no grounding whatsoever, yet relating to the people that it is their grounding which will take us to the future." Kerry F. Harkins December 30, 2020

Today is: “Grounded Day!” Why Not?

1) "Get yourself grounded and you can navigate even the stormiest roads in peace." - Steve Goodier

2) "Stay humble, stay grounded, remember what got you to that level-and that’s hard work." - Tim Howard

3) "Unless you are really grounded and have a true sense of reality, you can get lost in that and a lot of people do and that's why you see so many people with successful careers but with destructive lives." - Morris Chestnut

4) "From what I've seen, you either get grounded in that kind of positive thinking early on in life or you don't. Establishing priorities and using your time well aren't things you can pick up at the Harvard Business School. Formal learning can teach you a great deal, but many of the essential skills in life are the ones you have to develop on your own." - Lee Iacocca

5) "A troubled and afflicted mankind looks to us, pleading for us to keep our rendezvous with destiny; that we will uphold the principles of self-reliance, self-discipline, morality, and, above all, responsible liberty for every individual that we will become that shining city on a hill." - Ronald Reagan

It is important to note that...

“Grounded leaders meet and surpass today’s challenges and they inspire people to do great work, not just work hard!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect that your work ethic is well-grounded and hope that your generosity in donating your time, talents and resources has improved as you mature in the faith. Hopefully your humility and compassion are much deeper than skin deep. ‘Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.’ [1 Peter 5:6-8 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

I lift the husbands, wives, children, grandparents and grandchildren who are the elect of God to YOU dear LORD. I pray that the parents and grandparents instill a strong work ethic by demonstration into the younger family members. ‘Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ [1 Peter 5:5-6 ESV]
I thank You LORD for YOUR faithfulness in fulfilling YOUR promises ‘'And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.' [Philippians 1:6 ESV]
I pray that each adopted son and daughter who reads this prayer understands the admonishment of the LORD: 'And he said to them, “Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand? For nothing is hidden except to be made manifest; nor is anything secret except to come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” [Mark 4:21-25 ESV]
I pray dear LORD for the police officers and agents on duty, deployed service members on duty, EMT and medical triage personnel throughout the nations and their family members and loved ones as New Years approaches. I pray that each person on duty to protect this nation and the citizens as well as their loved ones are healthy and will stay in good health into next year. ‘Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.’ [1 Peter 5:8-10 ESV]
I pray for stable minds, humility, and a strong work ethic for each of the able bodied who are employed as well as those seeking to be employed. ‘Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.’ Proverbs 3:7-8 ESV]
I pray for a significant increase of humility in the prideful and biased radicals in this nation and RallyPoint members ‘Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.’ [Proverbs 16:18 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse and happy Hump Day. It should be a short week for those of you still on 9 to 5 jobs.
Staying grounded. I can always tell who has solidly grounded roots when adversity strikes. They are the ones who weather the storms and come out stronger at the end. Those who are unsure, uncertain, don't really know what they believe in (not even their own abilities) have difficulty. How firm are your roots? Your faith? Do they need to be reinforced and/or encouraged to grow?
