Peer support is a very powerful concept. It's amazing how much of a difference someone who is willing to be there and listen can make. It isn't a professional program although there are some great courses you can take. Really it is more about being a friend and a confidant to another. Isn't that something we can all use, be and support?

I expect that you, similar to me, have been blessed at times by a close friend or peer who sat quietly with you and listened to you and offered solace and the trust of a true friend. Hopefully, we are becoming better listeners and more able to encourage others going through hard times in this SARS-CoV-2 infection risk final full month of summer Mikel.
I pray you that I are being blessed by an increase the fruit of the Spirit faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and goodness and that we each work to use up the gentleness, self-control, and goodness as we encourage others, listen to whatever they want to say or sit quietly with them, and offer help when it is appropriate. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit never allows us to completely deplete the fruit. As we use the Fruit to bless others, HE refills the fruit in accordance with what HE knows will what the future holds for each of us. ‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.' [Galatians 5:22-24 ESV], my brother-in-Christ COL Mikel J. Burroughs.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters are being blessed with an increase of the fruit of peace in order for us to console the distraught, fearful, and worriers among our peers and family members. I pray for an increase of discernment and knowledge as we interact, or simply sit, or communicate with them through voice, text and/or video chats. I pray that we each are more patient with the physically, mentally, and/or emotionally traumatized ’Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.' [1 Peter 4:8 ESV]
Thank YOU, LORD for eternal life in Christ and the sanctification of our soul into the perfect reflection of the image of God for each one of us. YOUR image is Spirit and by YOUR grace the reflection in our soul is approaching perfection through the trials and testing and joyful experiences.
I pray that each elected and appointed official who is YOUR adopted son or daughter in the USA, UK, Australia, India, Mexico, and Canada is becoming better listeners and more patient with their peers across the political aisle; more compassionate towards to their constituents during this challenging time. Let YOU light shine through each to draw other elected and appointed officials to be better listeners and more compassionate with constituents and their political opponent peers.
