I pray for discernment, understanding the specific purposes YOU know we need to work to fill, sufficient fruit of the Spirit kindness, faithfulness, and self-control for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who read this prayer or listen to it, dear LORD. Enable us to quickly learn what we need to learn for ourselves and those who rely on us. Empower us to share what we have learned to bless other individuals. ‘Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.’ [Romans 5:3-5 ESV]
I pray that YOU are seeding YOUR Word in the fertilized soul of those we are earnestly interceding for salvation. I thank YOU for guiding people to share faith by demonstration of faith and love to those we are earnestly praying for. We are grateful for YOUR imputing the righteousness of the Christ to our account, dear LORD. ‘Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. … As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience. [Luke 8:11,15]
I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I pray for eternal salvation for many of the descendants of Abraham especially Jews and Muslims in the USA as well as Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran. ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you! Peace be within your walls and security within your towers!” For my brothers and companions’ sake I will say, “Peace be within you!” For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.’ [Psalm 122:6-9 ESV]
