Good morning all on a very overcast Thursday. We had a pretty heavy downpour last night that was probably needed after several days of beautiful sunshine. I am harvesting lots of tomatoes and eggplants this week.
Words have power; how we say them, when we say them, what we emphasize, all have meaning. We know when someone's words are sincere, when they mean what they say. We know they can hurt or they can help heal. And we also have felt the power of saying nothing at all...silence can be deafening. We admire great orators for their ability to move us to action. And the words of those who we feel can guide us correctly. Perhaps for at least one day we could all take that moment to pause and think before we speak, because our words have power.

I hope you are focusing on what really matters and that you have the moral courage and self-discipline to improve your relationship with those who depend on you. I expect you are spiritually mature and that your trust is in the LORD and your foundation of character, principles and hopes is rooted in the rock-solid foundation of the Christ. ‘Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: ‘he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.’ [Luke 6:47-48 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray for an increase in confidence in YOU LORD and humility for each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it, dear LORD. I thank YOU for defining our character through tests and trials as the proverbial dross is removed in the heat of battle – spiritual. YOU consistently demonstrate love for and acceptance of each of us through YOUR discipline and admonishment dear LORD. ‘My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.’ [Proverbs 3:11-12 ESV]
I pray for good treatment and compassionate care for each disabled veteran, injured servicemen and servicewomen, those afflicted with substance abuse, those suffering from PTSD/TBI and those who depend on them and those who love them. I pray that the VAMC medical treatment facilities, the military service medical treatment facilities and the Indian health care medical facilities are sufficiently staffed and equipped to care for the patients. LORD YOU know the needs of all. I pray that YOU motivate those in authority to adequately care for the disabled, the diseased and the injured. I pray that YOU comfort each person, especially children, whose parent is undergoing treatment. 'Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.’ [ 1 Peter 5: 6-7 ESV]
I pray that YOU are seeding YOUR Word in the fertilized soul of those we are earnestly interceding for salvation. I thank YOU for guiding people to share faith by demonstration to our loved ones. Draw as many as YOU are willing tonight to YOU. ‘Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. … As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience. [Luke 8:11,15]
I pray that you and your family members slept well Thursday night and will awoke refreshed and healthy on Friday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good “Thursday!” Morning to our 'Texas Eagle Posse Leader and all my Brothers and Sisters From the threatening skies of the Greater Boston Area, where we are facing a drenching rain as forecast by the National Weather Bureau...
Today is: “Words Day!” Why Not?
"Be mindful when it comes to your words. A string of some that don't mean much to you, may stick with someone else for a lifetime." - Rachel Wolchin
"Words are free. It's how you use them that may cost you." - KushandWizdom
"Be careful with your words. Once they are said, they can be only forgiven, not forgotten." - Unknown
"...But the human tongue is a beast that few can master. It strains constantly to break out of its cage, and if it is not tamed, it will run wild and cause you grief." - Unknown
"If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive." - Betty Eadie
