Thanks for sharing. I've tried to read about Bannon's ideology but it gets too deep for me very fast. It seems to be based on the premise that we are essentially at war with ourselves and on a path of self-destruction; which could almost become a self-fulfilling prophecy. He refers to our current state as the latest 4th turning. The last two Fourth Turnings that America experienced were the Civil War and the Reconstruction, and then the Great Depression and World War II. Before that, it was the Revolutionary War. Bannon deeply believes in a theory about America's future laid out in a book called "The Fourth Turning: What Cycles of History Tell Us About America's Next Rendezvous with Destiny." The most alarming part is that he believes elements of our society and government are essentially the enemy, and are allowing things to happen that spell the end of our Nation. That should concern anyone that believes he is able to influence Pres. Trump, but it's beyond my realm of influence so I have to accept it. The following article is one of many and gives a brief summary of the much larger topic.

Thank you for your insight. I do believe there is a worldwide struggle between globalist and nationalist. How far these influences travel down the rabbit hole is anyone's guess.

Thanks for adding to this topic. I'll be blasted for saying this but these people have an eerie similarity to a group of nationalist from Germany in the late 1930's who thought that they too had a date with destiny. There's an old adage that goes "People who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."

CW3 Cherif L. - I've read that comparison also but refrain from voicing it, because although some may see some of the similarities, any reference to it is often seen as a condemnation of Trump overall. Having concerns about Bannon is not necessarily a statement about Trump, other than questioning what he sees in Bannon. He may just believe that Bannon is smart on the larger immigration picture and values his advice. My personal opinions on Bannon don't matter, but in brief I don't believe he should be anywhere near the NCA or any position that can have impact on the lives of others.

The Deep State may be a figment of Bannon's imagination but the leaks are not.
