It's actually impossible to edit the contents of an Email without detection because it leaves a copy of the email on each transit server so there are mutiple copies of the email. So the Russians would have had to have access to every Email server on the network that was involved in the transit of the Email to escape detection. The Russians are not that capable, no hacker is. Further, if it was obvious that the Russians did tamper with the Emails and the DNC or Hillary had proof of it (ie: stash of unmodified Email copies) They could easily produce that proof. However instead they refused to let anyone review any hard drives and only printed off the Emails in hard copy. So there is no proof the Russians tampered with anything other than downloading the Emails..........thanks to both the DNC and Hillary Clinton we will never know exactly what the Russians did and I think that was partly the intent of blocking access to the hard drives of the email servers involved with the transit. They could spread stories like this one.
