I’ve posted this story before but one if the most poignant moments at the USO Lounge at Boston/Logan with a Vietnam Vet who said, with tears in his eyes “I wish I had been able to realize their sacrifice....they volunteered to go...”

SSgt Donald Libby We must never forget those who made the decision to go and made the ultimate sacrifice. I love the nurses memorial there by the wall. They truly were heroes in the truest sense. Most service members who are awarded major medals receive them for saving lives. How many lives did these nurses save.
