i never really got engrossed innthe rest of the series, though this ine, the first, id actually found quite engrossing/ id read it while at USAF OTS, id found it in the school exchange, i just got it out of idle curiosity, its git an interesting histirical premise, id thought, based on legend, of course....

On float with the MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) Casca, Conan, Tarzan, Gor, Louis L'amour, John Carter etc. etc. etc. were pass around gold.

I want found this book laying in the battery day room and having nothing else to do that Saturday afternoon read it from cover to cover. Not bad, actually.

Yeah, the rest of the series other than the WW2 one in Germany basically couldn't compare, though I did find that one, the first, oddly compelling...the legend was done a couple of times, in a religious flick with Jrgen Prochnow and Demi Moore, I forgot the title, I'll find it, and in the orig Star Trek episode Requiem for Methuselah, if you check, you'll see how they both relate....
