I have devoted the last act of my life to writing. Thus, metaphors are like mother's milk to me. (See, similes too) And yes, I am deeply offended by the indiscriminate of metaphors in political discourse. Especially comparisons to Hitler and Nazis. Those are the most abused. When S I Hiyakawa wrote Language in Thought and Action, he opined in the opening paragraphs that there is no magic in words. What a stupid thing to write. Of course there is. One of my favorite complaints is in the misapplication of labels such as "Planned Parenthood". There's magic in those words, isn't there? How could anyone be opposed to "Planned Parenthood"? However, the organization was founded to advance the cause of eugenics and there's plenty of evidence that is still their charter (especially when you see the proportion of black babies being aborted) Thanks for the referral to this article. As you can see, it's important to me.

CPT Jack Durish – Considering Magaret Sanger's publicly published background, Sir, it just wouldn't surprise me a bit if the double entendre in "Planned Parenthood" wasn't meant to be a steganogram.
