The topic is the history of ghosts, and Dr. Irving Finkle is delightful to listen too!
He is also an Assyriologist, so he is also telling us about ancient records of ghosts that he has found in historic records of Ancient Assyria. So of course he also wanders into Biblical territory too the region being ancient Assyria at one time.
I realize there may not be much of an interest in Assyriology here at RB, I don't have much of an interest either. However! This presentation is so entertaining I thought I would share it anyway. And it actually does provide insight into the understanding of ghosts our ancient ancestors had that we all are descended from in some way or another if we go back far enough. Some of the understanding and superstition and experiences are little different than current times.
He speaks as if he is expressively telling a detailed story to children for their entertainment, enjoyment, and understanding . . . with sufficient wit to make it entertaining for adults including those who may have no interest whatsoever in Assyriology or the history of Ghosts.

None of us specifically knowoò where our energy goes post death, but in my view, the energy in our bodies goes back from whence it came... For some, the energy sticks around, so-to-speak...and perhaps it is an in between part of life and energy... I call it an "energy"state, for lack of a better term... So perhaps these ghosts, are the in between apparitions...

Sgt (Join to see) Perhaps. I think what you say makes sense - a good explanation and understanding. Irving Finkel speaks, with a lot of good humor, about how the ancient folks handled the disruptive energy that sticks around . . . the troubling in-between apparitions.
But I wonder what causes it and pray for protection for everyone.
Everyone has probably read, been told, learned that it is only love that survives death, to return from whence it came in the universe. That was the energy that rose above and left behind all of what had been self that was not-love. Perhaps what is left behind is the energy imprint of not-love . . . what is "stuck" and can not move on which may be the "haunting" type of energy that does plague some folks sometimes . . . because it did not go with the soul to death since it was not-love. (I don't think it is the opposite of love, but simply not-love.)
But then there are also instances of the departed momentarily visiting, later, years later, once in a while, sometimes in a dream that was more than a dream, which has to be something entirely different - perhaps a moment of the pure love embodied by that soul in life? We don't know what we don't know about it, right? We will all eventually know.
Even so, people have been dealing with disincarnate fragmented troubling energy since ancient times that can not find release from a plane of existence where it has no body of its own. Guaranteed that a huge amount of in-between not-love energy should not ever become anyone's baby . . . because it would be like evil incarnate. (The catch-all Arabic word for the fragmented energy experienced as evil that causes trouble, is "Jinn" i.e. Genie.)
