Kamala Harris isn't the first "VP of color." Charles Curtis, a Republican who served under former President Herbert Hoover as the 31st vice president from 1929 to 1933, was 1/4 Native American. He was proud of his heritage.

Everything I have read says she'd be the first black, South Asian woman of color to be VP. Not first person of color as VP.
