I stopped watching ESPN and the NFL. I uninstalled their apps on my phone and I'm a huge football fan. If I want to watch political commentary, I'll turn on CNN or MSNBC. If I want to read about the oppression of certain demographics, I'll read HuffPo. I don't want any of that when I watch sports. Do I believe they have the right to protest, that's not for me to answer, it's up to their employer while they are on the job. But, I will not support (by watching) a protest that is based on a myth.

I'm not much of an avid viewer of the NFL. I have my team, but I live in another state where I don't get all the games without paying more for it. So essentially I'm not much of a loss to the NFL when I choose not to watch. Still, the few games I get, I don't watch, and come Super Bowl time, I'm not interested at this point. The NFL needs to find a way to have their employees respect this country's National Anthem and allow the players to speak up on their own time. When I watch football, I don't want to see politics... I have the media channels for that.

maybe if they (NFL) chose another way to voice their protest they would of gotten a more sympathetic response
