The indestructible Toyota Hi-Lux is finally coming to America | SOFREP

Not sure just how different it is from the Tacoma, but the Hi-Lux is a well respected nameplate around the world and I would be happy to see it here.

The show Top Gear, in their own unique Top Gear way, tried to destroy a Hi-Lux--to include placing it on top of a tall building being imploded--and it took all such insults in stride, and kept on rollin'.

LTC Ivan Raiklin, Esq. They are wonderful vehicles. My neighbor here in Thailand, has a 15 year old one that he has beaten the heck out of. It keeps coming back for more. Also the resale value on them is quite high. For example, A fully loaded Hi-Lux from 5 years ago cost around 1,500,000 Baht, around $45,000. You can resell it here for around 900,000 Baht, around $30,000. Where as a Ford Ranger which cost the same money is only worth about half that.

As long as you don't add armored glass to it, it should do fine lol.
