It is good that we have separated ourselves from the direct use of those metals because of their other uses. Gold, in particular, is resistant to rust and corrosion. It is the world's most reliable and durable electrical conductor, essential for computer electronics and satellite communications technologies. Gold has vital uses in green technologies, healthcare and our digital world. Where would we be without it in these application? Not to mention jewelry for the wife
