I am not a contractor or a consultant or a friend...I am a parent. Ithink that is what is wrong with a lot fo kids these days is their parents want to be their friends instead of being the parents. Now withthat being said we have always raised our child to be independent and to stand on her own two feet. We have always been honest with her as well. When we went to the doctor we told her the shot was going to hurt. We told her that if her grades fell there were no sports or cheerleading. We told her that if she didn't take care of her car we would be shuffling her around because it shows responsibility etc. bottom line for me is I am not a consultant for my kid...I am the parent.
