The Deathwish Iranians have been saying death to America, death to Israel and death to the UK for as long as I can remember.

LTC (Join to see) Unfortunately it was Little More than "Party Line" BS to Say. For Most We were Progressing Way Past that but We Just Took 100 steps backwards at Best. The Danger Level for 5th Flt Just Reached the Levels We had 33 Years Ago. I "Watched" Iran in 91 and 96. This is the Dumbest Thing I've Ever Seen. This Action shows nothing more than Complete Ignorance of the Mideast.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I knew a private that was later maimed by that bomb and partially blinded and is now 100% disabled. Half of my C-130 Ramp ceremonies were caused by one form of roadside bomb or another. General soleimani being killed has given me a sense of relief. I felt resentful when we had to leave Iraq in 2011 and then Isis came in ruining all the work we did and Mosel and we almost lost kirkuk where I was stationed in 2004 and 2005. 15 years of pain have suddenly disappeared. I'm not worried about the future because natural law has been handed down by the Creator against General soleimani and his custom-made shaped charge mine weapons Factory and his division worth of paramilitary. Actually, SSgt, I think we have more than those two choices you mention. We do not have to either simply dismiss Trump as stupid or follow him blindly. There is a third option, however futile it might seem: that is to embolden our Congressional representatives to rein in his impulsive blunders as best they can, while for the first time in decades having the courage to restore Congressional involvement in war-making powers. I dislike both political parties, but they are all we have (I used to think that multi-party states like Italy always failed to function, but now America has managed that dysfunction with just two parties). It is mind-blowing to think that in 2020 one man (in our case, a man whose mental state alarms more than a few professional soldiers and psychiatrists) can start a war, even launch nukes, and literally declare love for a likely enemy (NK). Unfortunately the way to win a seat in Congress in either party is to go-along with a donor-based and special-interest-based party apparatus in order to get-along. If ordinary Americans stopped giving to the two national parties and instead sent their donations to specific candidates, the problem would be half solved (no candidate would have to agree to party self-interest in order to get TV ads, lawn signs, volunteers, etc.). The burden is especially on those of us (alas, not me) in "battleground" states, where both parties have to pay attention to what people want. One-party states like California or Wyoming? fuggedaboutit.
