The Last Full Measure vs. the True Story of William Pitsenbarger

This para rescue jumper was an Air Force's Special forces medic/ Infantryman that was sent in 1966 into an intense Vietnam combat zone to help out with the wounded. He helped many wounded get out and he refused to be extracted. He was eventually killed. I heard a story yesterday on National Public Radio. I did not know about the movie the Last Full Meaure Which describes his heroics and how he saved lives but it took until the year 2000 before he was awarded the medal of honor posthumously.

This movie is not available on Canadian Netflix but I look forward to seeing it some day. The movie has an All Star cast but it only made 3 million dollars. It came out in November of last year but I don't remember even seeing commercials about it at the theater and I saw The movies the Joker and Midway came out during this time.
