The North Koreans are fumbling the Nuclear Football a hundred miles from Vladivostok. I would think they would be up in arms.

Smart move, total isolation would make North Korea desperate. Do we really want ame unstable nuclear-armed regime that feels itself to be in a desperate situation? Diplomacy is the only solution to this problem and the Russians understand that.

So the Russians have altruistic motives? Whirled peas?
Please! NorKor is a distraction so we don’t focus on Iranian, Turkish, & Russian activities in the Middle East

The Russians are not behind North Korea's bad behavior, nor is China. It is a difficult problem for all concerned.
Any nuclear detonation on the Korean Peninsula is going to contaminate the Russian Far East, especially Vladivostok.
Nothing is preventing the United States and it's Chained dog Israel from jumping into the Saudi, Syrian, Iranian vortex. Indeed they seem to be doing so with both feet.
