This is complete and utter garbage. I'm not even going to bother trying to convince anyone who would believe any of it. Just like all the Conservative talk show trash, what he is really talking about, what he describes as "Leftism" is an ongoing cultural shift that is, was, and will continue to take place as the USA becomes more and more diverse. TOO BAD YOU DON'T LIKE IT, BECAUSE IT IS HERE TO STAY AND IT WILL ONLY GET BIGGER. You see Trump as a return to traditional, American values. What Trump really represents is the last big flame-out before the end of the fuel. Every metric there is says that Conservatism is dying away, while liberalism is growing. They are even talking about TX being a purple state now. The end is coming.

I concur. Sometimes I ask myself why certain things "matter" so much to the stereotypical "leftist" (I'll add that I make distinctions between this term and "liberal", and that there are as many differences in approach and opinion on one side, as the other) . In general, it seems that a great deal of what they appear to be fighting "against" offers them no real, tangible threat. As I often state it, "here in the U.S. you can do just about anything you want...but you can't make everybody like it." Why is it so important that everyone "agree", as opposed to everyone having the right to an opinion? Like yourself, I can only conclude that at some level, whether representative of the minority, or the majority...many simply cannot tolerate the idea that their voice isn't the only one being heard.
