Thanks for sharing TSgt Steve Waide the article on the making of an airstrike.
An old friend of mine is now Commander of CENTCOM.
One day I hope to see an non-classified effectiveness statistical analysis of the over 14,100 airstrikes against ISIS.

"Don't need no Stinking statistical analysis" if you still see roaches the fumigation didn't help.

It would be great to see the analysis, but it would be hard to pinpoint the true effectiveness. It would depend on the actual parameters set to obtain what type of stats you're trying to achieve. Unfortunately the stats would be skewed either way based on said parameters.

TSgt Steve Waide - as a trained ORSA I always prefer to see the statistics themselves such as accuracy of strike for intended target [circular error probable); dummy targets or mistaken targets (after the fact); percentage of munitions that exploded when they should have; percent total destruction for bridges, vehicles, command and control nodes, etc.

wait.... I thought once a target was identified the "Great Horn of Freedom" owned by George Washington himself was blown, signaling to the heavens which produced a great bald eagle over the target for all below to pause in their last moments and take in her majestic American Freedom...then the American bald eagle drops the warhead.
you're tellin me that's not what happens?
