The “Momo challenge” is a recurring viral hoax that has been perpetuated by local news stations and scared parents around the world.

I keep trying to find the right words. Personally, I'm divided on my perceptions of this threat. On the one hand, I'm skeptical because we live in a time of widespread misinformation...some of which is undoubtedly designed to destabilize and fracture our society. On the other, I'm keenly aware that there are truly evil and monstrous forces at work in our world... and this depravity is sadly in keeping with recent trends. Finally, there's a part of my soul-the part that believes in God ... who wouldn't be surprised if pure evil hadn't begun capitalizing on the addictive, controlling, hate and fear-funneling conduit the Internet has become.
