Science and humanity at large can learn great things when rules are bent or broken. That is not to say the ends justify the means, the Holocaust was a horrible event that I hope is never repeated in anyone's lifetime. But why bury the secrets of the advancements instead of use them to learn?

For example, the most popular psychology experiments were also the most unethical by modern standards. Stanford prison study, Miligram shock study, Little Albert etc. But these studies have taught psychologists the most about human behavior and are still repeated in modern text books. Learn from the past so it doesn't repeat itself.
