While China's President Xi still retains his undisputed grip on power, some have noted an unusual surge of criticism about economic policy and how the government has handled the trade war, revealing "rare cracks in the ruling Communist Party." Specifically, Reuters notes that the backlash is being felt at the highest levels of the government, hitting a close aide to Xi, his ideology chief and strategist Wang Huning.

You make a good point.
Though seeing there is so much manufacturing in china one would think they would be more insulated from it than Russia.
But I guess the way to look at it is this. America is one of the largest buyers of stuff in the world. If we refocus that to ourselves and to other countries.
Well then Jack your point is going to be one we all will have to open a beer or two over.

PO3 (Join to see) - Actually, it makes them more vulnerable. Much of China's economy is wrapped up in trade with America. They're attempting to change that. They're opening trade with other parts of the world, but most of their manufactured goods still find their way to these shores and if we turn them away, their economy collapses.

CPT Jack Durish - Ahhh, but they cannot change it without impact. The United States is the lowest cost producer in the world for the items that China cherry picked to import from us. So in order to replace us, China has to pay significantly more money........starting with the Soybean imports. Brazil is not stupid, it's going to charge China more for the same amount of crops, also the soybeans that Brazil produces have a higher protien content (our soybeans are really intended for Bio Fuels), so Brazil can get away with a higher price. Also, Brazil will not be able to fill the gap of lost soybeans completely. China has to find another source or face shortages. On our end we can replace China with other lower cost Asian countries that can produce cheaper such as Vietnam.
