The Petya ransomware attack shows how many people still don’t install software updates

I once worked with a guy who was a white hat hacker for the government. The one thing he beat me up about constantly, was updating my dang computer. With just my name, he was able to find my home computer, clean and patch it, and left me lovely messages on it in the morning that my wife at the time thought were cute. The main one was "Don't forget the Donuts, dumba@@!" I always update. It is the easiest thing you can do to protect yourself.
